Governing Body

Meet the Governors

Usama Siddiqui

Why did you decide to become a Governor at North Ealing Primary School?

The governing body can play a very influential role is steering the school towards best-in-class standards. Additionally, I felt it is important to bring a diverse mind-set into an increasingly diverse school.

What do you think you bring to North Ealing Primary School?

Bring better financial discipline, and to manage to do ‘more for less’

Contribute creative ideas to enable staff and students to deliver ‘high performance’

To work closely with the leadership team to drive the school towards becoming an ‘outstanding’ rated school

What are your interests in Education

Coming from an educational family (my father has remained the Vice-Chancellor of two universities), I feel passionate about raising academic standards. Having studied and lived in Africa, Asia, and Europe, my global exposure has opened my mind to new ways of teaching and administration. I have also taught finance part-time at various business schools.

Brief history of my career, life and background

I have served in senior strategy and business development roles at top oil companies (Shell and currently Statoil), and also as an SVP in an investment bank. I hold an MBA, and an LLM (with Distinction) from the University of Dundee.

At NEPS, I hope to utilize my management, financial and legal skills, as well as my strategic skills to lay out a cohesive mid and long-term strategic plan for the school.
